·Inspiration·
The artist emphasises the importance of urban trees in the cities where most people live. When it comes to regulating urban microclimates, they are power stations – filtering air pollution, providing shade, absorbing carbon dioxide, helping to prevent flash floods, and acting as important antidotes to the urban heat island effect. Urban heat islands make cities much hotter than the surrounding rural areas. Trees foster connections between people and society by eliminating air pollution, reducing stress, and encouraging outdoor activities. Trees help us achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and improve people’s quality of life.
Zane Mellupe will also be running two experiential classes on the themes of paper theatre and paper weaving.

Young American Artists, Art Educators
Bachelor’s degree from California State University, College of Visual Arts
She has been engaged in art creation in the U.S. and Japan, and has been invited by several art museums and art spaces to hold numerous solo and group exhibitions.
Olivia Jones-Hernandez, in addition to showcasing her papercraft work on site, will also be offering two experiential classes on the themes of papercraft decoration and papercraft plants.

Originally from Milan, Italy, the team of designers have travelled the world exploring new trends and inspirations, resulting in a range of original stationery that is fun, colourful and contemporary.

L’Ippogrifo has also participated in the ‘Saca’ Craft Fair in Bologna, ‘Macef’ in Milan and ‘Gift’ in Florence, and in 2017 they travelled to China to participate in the ‘Sino-Italian Festival of Intangible Handicrafts’ in Shanghai and in 2018 they participated in the ‘Shenzhen International Furniture Fair’.
