On 30th June, the UK Department for International Trade (DIT), the UK Advertising Export Group (AEG) and the Shanghai International Advertising Festival (SIAF) co-hosted the 2021 UK-China Business Networking Conference at the British Centre of the British Consulate General in Shanghai. Unilever, the international FMCG giant, Tmall, the city of brands, and more than 20 emerging brands attended the event and discussed how emerging brands can tell a good brand story and precipitate brand value to achieve sustained growth and internationalisation by focusing on the theme of ‘From China to the World, How to Help New Brands Grow Rapidly’.

Keynote speech
Mr Fang Jun, Vice President of Data and Digital Development of Unilever China, delivered a keynote speech at the meeting, talking about Unilever’s use of its many years of experience in brand operation and strong resources to help emerging brands to rise quickly in the competitive market, enhance brand influence, and provide more in-depth cooperation space at the level of brand incubation, supply chain and so on.

Based on the strong data support, Mr. Wufeng, Director of New Consumption of Tmall Merchant Marketing Centre, shared in his speech the support from the level of platform traffic strategy and shared the example of brand ‘long red’, as well as more Chinese brands in the overseas market breakthrough related experience and cases, to help the new brand to complete the growth of brand power and commercial power.
